"My husband and I just got married at Meekers Venue and we can't recommend it enough! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. It's an old historic building near downtown Delaware and the outside has [an] old, rustic charm. They have completely remodeled the inside and it's modern and gorgeous. We just got our sneak peek gallery from our photographer and we love all the photos we took here. We received so many compliments on the venue from our guests. You won't need many decorations because the venue is truly breathtaking on its own. The owners, Tess and John have plenty of rental décor to borrow that they can set up for you, which makes decorating a total breeze.
The venue has everything you need all in the same place, so your guests won't need to travel to multiple locations. They have 2 main large rooms, we used one for our ceremony and dinner, and the other for our cocktail hour and reception... The venue has a beautiful bridesmaid suite for all your ladies to get ready in and a separate one for the bride. They also have a large area in the basement set up for the gentlemen to hang out and get ready. One of the best parts about this venue is that you can rent it out for both Friday and Saturday. We were able to get everything set up and decorated on Friday, then have the rehearsal, and rehearsal dinner at the venue. It was so nice to have everything ready to go for our special day on Saturday. Additionally, you can pay the owners to pack up all your décor so you don't have to worry about this at the end of the night (I highly recommend this).
Tess & John are wonderful and made planning our wedding so much easier. They helped us create a detailed timeline for the wedding so every person and vendor involved knew what was going on at all times. Tess led us through our wedding rehearsal and was our wedding day coordinator (thank goodness for her). She was so helpful and it's very evident that she has the experience and knows what she's doing. She made sure everything ran smoothly all weekend and handled any challenge that arose so we could enjoy ourselves and not stress about the small details. Tess & John were incredibly kind throughout our entire planning process. They always responded to my emails or texts in a prompt manner, which I appreciated. They helped make our dream wedding come true...
